We are the authoritative source for Caller Name (CNAM). We simply provide more effective and efficient methods of accessing CNAM data because we don't use a legacy model.

TARGUSinfo accesses over 420,000,000 caller names that are sourced by telecommunications companies. Hybrid files, such as those offered by other service providers, may be out-of-date due to timing and sourcing issues. 

Hybrid files offer only 34% of the coverage of TARGUSinfo CNAM. Hybrid files offer a perceived lower cost alternative to Authoritative CNAM providers but have three core limitations:

  1. Coverage: Subscribers get 1/3 of the coverage — so only 1 out of 3 available CNAMs are displayed.
  2. Accuracy:  The timing delays in the sources of hybrid files leads to inaccurate displays.
  3. Trouble Tickets:  These will increase when subscribers are cut off from the coverage and accuracy they once enjoyed. Due to the complexity of sleuthing CNAM complaints, the average CNAM trouble ticket entails 3 times the cost of other customer calls.
