TARGUSinfo seeks a Strategic Account Manager (SAM) who will be responsible for client retention, satisfaction, and revenue growth. The ideal candidate possesses both strong consultative/evangelistic solutions-based sales skills and thrives in an entrepreneurial environment. A successful track record of selling marketing and/or analytics based solutions is highly desirable. A higher than industry-standard incentive package promises for a financially rewarding career.
Key Responsibilities
· Proactively manage a base of existing accounts and be responsible for defending revenue and driving allegiance within those accounts through understanding a client’s business needs, issues, strategies and priorities.
· Coordinate all internal resources necessary to ensure any client issues- service, billing, technical, etc… are resolved efficiently and effectively.
· Expand relationship within existing accounts and uncover incremental revenue opportunities and additional ways to enable clients to get value out of licensed services
· Acquire and integrate industry knowledge related to general trends, emerging technologies & competitors.
· Electronically maintain notes, forecast, and pipeline in Salesforce.com as it relates to all clients
· Manage all sales efforts through the appropriate Sales Director and other internal TARGUSinfo resources
· Conduct sales efforts using the telephone, email and travel to client/prospects locations throughout the year
Qualifications
· A minimum of five (5) years experience selling and supporting conceptual services, such as information services, to Fortune 1000 and mid-size company senior executives
· Knowledge of the consumer services and direct to consumer space and relationships therein and/or experience selling marketing analytics solutions are required.
· Experience managing the entire sales cycle, from identifying a need to developing the solution and seeing the sale through implementation.
· Consultative sales acumen highly desired
· Excellent interpersonal, customer relations skills desired
· Verbal and written presentation skills desired
Education
· Bachelor’s degree preferred
